Only God

Lauri Ann Lumby

a personal reflection by Lauri Ann Lumby

This morning’s blog is coming from a deeply personal place and arising out of a place of fragmented vulnerability….so apologies ahead of time for momentary incoherence. 😉

2017 has been quite an interesting year so far. The most exciting things have been my soul-discovering trip to Ireland and the “new” things that are beginning to be birthed in my world including a promising business partnership and a burgeoning Magdalene Priestess Training program!

Playing a much more central role in 2017, however, has been the ever deepening and every widening journey of LETTING GO! It seems everywhere I turn I am being invited to let go of that which I used to turn to as a source of familiarity, routine, surety, security and support.  It seems I can’t take a single step without being confronted with something asking for release.  This…

Heal Yourselves! Lessons on Detachment

Lauri Ann Lumby

It is said, “The good Lord helps those who help themselves.”

The key here is “help themselves.” The Lord (or whatever name you give to the transcendent aspect of the Divine that is said to be a source of guidance and support) cannot help those who refuse to take responsibility for their own lives, their own patterns of dysfunctional behavior, their own woundedness and their own fears.

The same can be said for us. When we reach out as a source of loving support for others, we can only help those who are willing to help themselves.  We cannot help those who are unable or unwilling to identify their own patterns of dysfunctional or compulsive behaviors (including behaviors of gluttony, addiction, victimhood, martyrdom, rage, power and control, envy or jealousy, sloth or pride); and we cannot help those who are unwilling to do the work of identifying the unhealed woundedness…

My Secret Pain – the Call of Beloved Partnership

Lauri Ann Lumby

It is said that “the truth shall set you free.” I have continued to find this to be true.  But knowing that in expressing our truth we shall find freedom and actually expressing our truth are two different things, especially when expressing those truths leaves you naked and vulnerable in the face of an often cold and cruel world.  But, it is also said, “No pain, no gain.”  So……here goes.

I have a truth that I have carefully guarded and kept very close to my heart, revealing this secret to only a select few. The truth is that I am called to Beloved Partnership.

What I have come to understand is that being called to Beloved Partnership is a Divine calling and one that cannot be fulfilled until we are reunited with our other…

Celebrating Mary Magdalene

Mary Magdalene is the only one identified to have completed the full course of Jesus’ teachings and was initiated as co-equal partner and Beloved with Christ. It was to Mary whom Jesus first revealed his resurrected/Christed Self and it was Mary he commissioned to share the good news with the other disciples and who he ordained to continue his work in his stead.

The Plight of the Sh.t-Disturber

I recently posted an article To See or Not to See – That is the Question, exploring the gift of spiritual sight.  There is one challenge with this gift I neglected to mention:

The ability to see all the way to people’s (and organizations’) truest and most authentic selves and the potential that lay within them for a meaningful, purposeful and fulfilling life.

I see who they are meant to be behind all the masks they show to the world along who they came into this world to be behind all the unhealed wounds and unacknowledged fears that keep them imprisoned in an unfulfilling, unrewarding life.

Along with this ability, is the very real experience that happens when I see someone in this way – they begin to wake up. The very fact that I can see them….really see them, stirs something within them…
